It’s been a busy September in Petworth

September in Petworth! 

Summer has finally come to an end and we have entered Autumn which means summer clothes are put away for another year, the warm clothes are back out and instead of walking to the pub at night we now get a taxi.

It has been a busy start to Autumn in Petworth with lots of things happening and we are going to quickly round up the main news and events which we think you may find interesting.

Petworth High Street enters award

Petworth has applied for the Rising Star Great British High Street award. The town has been undergoing a revitalisation and this is a great opportunity to showcase the work that has been done in Petworth. To show your support for Petworth and promote it, use #GBHighSt.

Line-up Announced for Petworth Literary Weekend

This is going to be the festivals sixth annual literary weekend and it is on from November 2nd-6th. The line-up includes author Frank Gardner, novelist Victoria Hislop and Lord Richard Dannatt. Tickets start from £8 and can be booked by calling 01798 344576 or book them online at www.petworthfestival.org.uk.

Landscape Art Exhibition

At the start of the month a landscape art exhibition opened at Kevis House Gallery and it will be open until the 29th October, it is well worth a visit if you enjoy your art. Artists include Mark Buck, Frances Hatch, Jonathan Newdick, Noami Rae and David Walsh.
